RAMINTA DE CLERMONT de Clermont is a British born photographer residing in Cape Town. With a BSc in Architecture, de Clermont studied photography on a post graduate level. As snapped states, de Clermont is interested in “the visual currencies of group identity and formation” and “investigates middle-class rituals and the effects of the global on the local”. Her first exhibition, ‘Life After’, opens at João Ferreira Gallery on the 3 September and at artSPACE on the 20 September. Her work will be part of a group show entitled 'Human Animal' at the Trustman Gallery in Boston from 6 October - 6 November. Her work features in the prestiguous UNISA colleciton. The second edition of ‘snapped’ magazine features a brief biography and image from her on-going series of Matric Queens, and will also be covered by ‘De Kat’ magazine in their September edition. Life
